First Aid

First Aid:SKIN: WARM FROSTBITE AREA W/WARM WATER (NOT TO EXCEED 105).
REMOVE CLOTHING WHILE SHOWERING W/WARM WATER. CALL PHYSICIAN.
INHALATION: REMOVE TO FRESH AIR. GIVE ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATION IF NOT
BREATHING. GIVE OXYGEN IF BREATHING IS DIFFICULT.CALL PHYSICIAN.
EYE: FLUSH W/WATER FOR AT LEAST 15 MINS. SEE PHYSICIAN. INGESTION:
THIS PRODUCT IS A GAS AT NORMAL TEMPERATURE/PRESSURE.

Fire Fighting

Extinguishing Media:USE MEDIA APPROPRIATE FOR SURROUNDING FIRE. ARGON
CAN'T CATCH FIRE. DON'T DISCHARGE SPRAYS INTO LIQUID ARGON.
Fire Fighting Procedures:EVACUATE ALL PERSONNEL FROM DANGER AREA.
IMMEDIATELY DELUGE CONTAINERS W/WATER SPRAY FORM MAXIMUM DISTANCE
UNTIL COOL, THEN MOVE CONTAINERS AWAY FROM AREA.
Unusual Fire/Explosion Hazard:CLOSED CONTAINERS MAY RUPTURE DUE TO HEAT
OR FIRE. LIQUID ARGON WILL FREEZE WATER RAPIDLY.

Accidental Release

Spill Release Procedures:EVACUATE ALL PERSONNEL FROM DANGER AREA. ALLOW
SPILLED LIQUID TO EVAPORATE. SHUT OFF LEAK IF W/OUT RISK. MOVE
LEAKING ASSEMBLY TO VENTILATED AREA OR LEAK. USE SCBA AS NEEDED.

Handling

Handling and Storage Precautions:NEVER WORK ON A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM. IF
THERE IS A LEAK/CLOSE THE CYLINDER VALVE/BLOW DOWN THE STEAM BY
VENTING TO A SAFE PLACE/REPAIR THE LEAK.
Other Precautions:CAUTION: ARGON GAS IS AN ASPHYXIANT. CLOSE VALVE WHEN
NOT IN USE/WHEN EMPTY. DON'T GET LIQUID IN EYES, ON SKIN OR
CLOTHING. DON'T STRIKE ARC ON CONTAINER. DON'T GROUND CONTAINER.
METATARSAL SHOES FOR CYLINDER HANDLING.
